Rig Raffle for the Pandhandlers, is yet another album coming up in the Stranger Lazy saga. Over large stretches of land, and many mail carriers, we have come up with a fascinating way to create music for you. Other albums are landing on our lap as we speak.
Kevin visited Keith in Washington D.C. for the president's inauguration, and had a small recording session for Rig Riffle. Recently, a recording session took place at Rob's home studio in Bloomington, IN to catch some overdubs and extra efforts for Rig Raffle. Next up, Keith and Rob visit Portland to record for a week at Kevin's home studio. We hope to finish up the Rig, and move on to recording many more side projects, and possibly the next Stranger Lazy album after Rig Raffle. America's Funniest Home Videos, there's a tape, found by the man himself, Bob Saget... in the back, way back, in the corners of the hidden, underground library of archives. We were there. He had found us. Like when mr. pee wee found his bike, like when the wizard of oz left in the balloon without Dorothy and her dog.
Pictures of people falling.. that's what he saw.. He laughed about a million times, and ran jokes that never landed. He'd surely make it at the Comedy Club. Why don't you come on down? We've survived the submarine reaching to the surface, we're disillusioning ourselves from the real world, and coming to face the reality that is before us. We're sick of pizza, we're sick of not being paid, we shouldn't have ever cared, but we did. It just happens. When you're passionate about something, you do it for the love of it... Unfortunately, my friends.. the reality of it all being that we will continue on our own paths. Playing whatever music we will, wherever it will be. And we're cool with that. Support Stranger Lazy.. .buy some shit. posted by kevin fitz @ 7:06 PM 0 comments

Well, the time has come to record another album. For those of you keeping track, there's no use. By the time you've figured it out, we would have already recorded 15 more records. That's ok for you because you get to keep listening to Stranger Lazy until the cows come home.
Take this time to reflect your own cause in life. What are you doing this for? What are you doing this for? What are you doing this for? In that question, you will decipher the answer to the complexity that is "NICE" and everything that has come before it. We will return with more news, until then keep your cuffs rolled up, and your ankles safe and warm. posted by kevin fitz @ 7:46 AM 1 comments

Busy Busy Busy times here at the Stranger Lazy camp. This past weekend we were in Cincinnati, Ohio performing at Jackson Hall, as a part of the Midpoint Music Festival. We had a great time performing a great mix of tunes, especially newer material from 80's Brown. We've also posted BEST and 80s Brown here on the site as purchasable items.. So get your copies now!
On Wednesday of this week we'll be playing the Second Story's 25th Anniversary Show along with many others. Other than that, just getting ready to record yet another album entitled "NICE".. So if that isn't enough to get someone's ass in gear.. Well, then I guess nothing will. Until then, keep the time swift and the minutes steady. posted by kevin fitz @ 9:06 AM 0 comments

Help me, I'm lost in Lazy Land... Welcome back to this installment of things that no one will ever read. Here we are in August 2006, and onto another point in the chapter of Stranger Lazy.
Keith, Paul and Rob have moved into a house together in the wooded hills of Northern Bloomington. This casa in the woods will be our new home to recording and practicing. The studio has already been dubbed "The Comedy Club" for reasons known only to a few. Once we get back into the swing of things, we will be recording again, as well as booking shows around town and around the Midwest.. Anywhere we think the people will clasp on to the Stranger Lazy sound. Be on the look out for new albums: 80's Brown, Best, Nice, Internet, Dick Dragon & The Filthy Reward, and The Tall Buildings. Until next time, keep the hole clean and wiped, leave no brown trace. - Fitz posted by kevin fitz @ 5:54 PM 0 comments

What's up, this is the news station coming in with information you might like. This is our new website. We're going to be regathering and making music again very soon. The Cox Sintrific is doing well, and in the future release plans is 80's Brown. Hopefully you all will dig our music. Until then, keep them boots wet.

Holy crap batman, when was the last time we updated this damn thing? The cox sintrific is out soon, and everyone's going to shit themselves.. It's going to be a great album, and we're all full of it. Full of malarky, full of bologna, full of crap. To the human eye we are but a mere species of worm, eating dirt.. living the life. But in the end, you shall see, what lies behind the curtain, see.. it's the witch, it's the bat, it's the broomstick and the hat.. It's the mo'fuggin wicked witch of the midwest. It's Stranger and it's Lazy. It's not the lazy strangers, or the strange lazers.. It's Stranger Lazy. The album is Coxx Sintrific.. you've been had.

So sorry it's been a long time since we've updated anything on the Stranger Lazy website. That's because we've been hella busy trying to record and re-record songs for our album, The Cox Sintrific. The album will be comprised of new songs and previous songs from the studio effort, CIA Spook. The reason we never followed up on CIA Spook is because we felt there was something missing in our recordings.. We needed something more raw and down to earth, so we took it upon ourselves to record. And that we are doing.. in Rob's basement in Bloomington. It sounds good, trust us. Plans and ideas are in the works to be getting Stranger Lazy out and about.. beyond the perimeters of Btown and Naptown. We'll see you very soon... Hopefully hearing us a lot sooner. Until next time.. keep the boots wet and the feet dry.

First and foremost.. thank you to EVERYONE who came out to support us at the Patio. That place was wall to wall, which is something I hadn't seen in awhile. What a fun night to play rock music. America Owns the Moon was superb as well. I think that was the best Local H set I've ever seen.. they are rock music at its finest, in my opinion. No glamour, no firey press or shananigans, just rock music.. We would also like to thank those of you who grabbed some CD's, and t-shirts.. hope you enjoy the music and the cotton. We wrapped up the wonderful holidy weekend that is Easter, by banging on jesus with some rock n' roll music. The show at the Second Story went great, and we had a damn good time playing it. Thanks to all who came and stuck around for the late slot.. we appreciate the support. If you missed a chance to get a CD, or you want to get music from us, catch us at our next show. We're really not technically savy enough to sell this stuff online yet. More songs are recorded, the next album "CIA Spook" is in the making... four songs written so far. My only advice: downed powerlines are not a good place to hide easter eggs. Until next time ~fitz

Alright everyone.. it's been awhile. Here's what you saw, or for some of you.. what you missed. Our one year "anniversary" playing at the Vertigo occured on Feb. 5, Thursday to an amazing crowd. We've made an album to sell at shows, it's titled "When you're small everything is tall." It is a collection of 10 songs from the past year of recording. If you grabbed a copy, we hope you're enjoying it. We were accompanied by 83 Feet and Jackson Pain, both making their debut in btown. We appreciate having those guys with us, great music as well as great people.
A couple weeks before this show, we got a chance to play with Castle Oldchair, which was a pleasure. Be sure to check this band out, their album "Sad Pants" is really damn good, and hopefully we'll be getting some shows with them. Also trying to get something together with Archer Avenue, another great act from Indy. So much good music coming out of this town lately.. it's awesome to be a part of it. Until next time. posted by kevin fitz @ 11:21 PM 0 comments

We'd like to thank everyone who came out and supported us at our Batlle of the Bands performance. We ended up in third place.. which is cool, but not enough to move on to the second round. We all felt our set was rockin and energetic.. a few items coming unplugged occured, broken string in the first song, and just some other craziness occured as well. I think we're the only band that prompted a "no standing on the bass drum" rule. How funny is that. A very cool article on IMN is up, giving a short review of our show..
